In 2018, Rockstar Games released the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 _ , and it wasn't long before players started to discover a variety of supernatural beings in this American Western action-adventure game. Rumors spread that there were mythical creatures roaming certain areas of the map. Depending on the time of day that the protagonist of the game, Arthur Morgan, travels to a location, there's a chance that one of those creatures might be spotted. Of course, some of the rumors ended up being false claims, such as the "werewolf" who can be spotted in the woods of Roanoke Ridge. As it turns out, this wolfman is simply a feral person who runs around naked with the wolves, but he's a fun little _Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter egg .
Now that it's been two years since the game launched, a lot of evidence has appeared online showing that there are quite a few supernatural creatures in Red Dead Redemption 2 to discover. Plenty of YouTube videos and online guides for RDR2 __ show the steps needed to find these monsters, but some of the encounters are more risky and complicated than others. Hunting down these creatures is a fun challenge that's included in the game for players who are interested in a different type of side quest.

The folklore in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a fun addition for paranormal fans of this series. Some of the monsters are not very interactive, but this doesn't mean there's a lack of excitement. Here are all the supernatural beings players can find in Red Dead Redemption 2 .
Red Dead Redemption 2's Strange Man Portrait
Strange Man first appeared in Red Dead Redemption , and while he might not be a typical supernatural entity, he is an oddity. __ RDR2's Arthur Morgan can travel to a location that is west of the Bayou to find Strange Man. There's a shack with paintings hanging on its walls, nothing out of the ordinary, but in the middle of the room is a painting that gradually changes with each visit. At first, there are loose brushstrokes of a figure, nothing distinguishable, but as Arthur continues going back to this location, the painting develops into a distinct portrait of Strange Man.
When Arthur looks at himself in a mirror near the completed portrait, Strange Man appears in the background. If Arthur turns around, Strange Man is not present. It's clear that Strange Man is supernatural, perhaps a demon or the Grim Reaper himself. There are several Red Dead Redemption theories about Strange Man, but nothing concrete. Perhaps the mystery will be revealed in the next game.
Red Dead Redemption 2's Alien UFO
Red Dead Redemption 2 might take place in the 19th century, a little before the first plane was invented, but players can actually spot a UFO in this game. Players can take Arthur on a journey to New Hanover where he will find a cabin. After he discovers a note inside, he must leave the cabin and wait until 2 am to return to the cabin. In order to spot the UFO, Arthur must be inside. A green light will appear through the roof and in the sky there is a glowing disk hovering above.

Unfortunately, players will not be able to see any actual aliens like in Grand Theft Auto 5 , and the strange spacecraft will only remain for a couple of in-game hours.
Red Dead Redemption 2's Ghosts (& Ghost Trains)
There are a few different ghosts that players can find in Red Dead Redemption 2 . The ghost in the swamp is one of the creepiest encounters. Arthur can find the ghost of Agnes Dowd in the Bluewater Marsh, but only between the hours of 9 pm and 3 am. She can be heard wailing in the distance as players get closer, but she is hard to spot without binoculars and can quickly vanish. Players might have to wait several in-game days before this ghost appears.
Bolger Glade is also home to a few ghosts, though these ones are not visible to players. Instead, haunting voices can be heard echoing in the fields where a battle once occurred. While this location is not the most disturbing place in RDR2 , these voices might send some shivers down players' spines.
Another ghost that can be found in the game isn't exactly a ghost, but a ghost train. In order to spot the train, Arthur must travel to Scarlett Meadows and wait near the sign that welcomes travelers to Lemoyne. At 3 am, Arthur can approach the train tracks near this area and the ghost train is likely to spawn. This spectral vehicle is not guaranteed to appear every time, so players might need to make a few attempts to spot it.
Red Dead Redemption 2's Vampire
There's a vampire lurking in Red Dead Redemption 2 , but summoning the vampire is a complicated process . For players who are ready to spend to take on this challenge, there are five different pieces of writing that Arthur will need to discover in order to reveal the location of the vampire.

Red Dead Redemption 2's vampire hides in an alley in the southern side of the Saint-Denis Cathedral, but players must enter this alley between 12 am and 1 am. The vampire will be in the middle of feasting on the corpse of a man and players can choose to stay at their own risk. Thankfully, fighting this monster in RDR2 isn't too tricky.
Red Dead Redemption 2's Bigfoot And/Or Giant
While this final supernatural creature might be a bit of a stretch, it's possible that the being in the cave is a giant or Bigfoot. After all, there's a path leading to Mount Shann where the skeleton of a giant can be found. Additionally, Arthur can travel to a cave where a giant originally was supposed to hide. There's a bit of cut dialogue between Arthur and RDR2's giant , who is not actually visible to players, but his booming voice sounds larger than a normal human's and he talks about the "human condition" in a passive manner. It's as if he's not actually human.
Red Dead Redemption 2 mixes reality with the supernatural in a way that authentically captures American folklore, an element that adds an incredible amount of detail to this already elaborate game. Rockstar Games still needs to take things up a notch with some of these supernatural elements, especially after The Halloween Pass hinted at zombies in the special Red Dead Frontier Dead Redemotion 2 online event. Unfortunately, the Dead of Night mode that brought The Dead to the game for a limited time ended up being a crazy cult instead of an actual horde of zombies.
Nonetheless, _Red Dead Redemption 2 _ has blown away its fans with the amount of content, realism, and gameplay it offers. Perhaps more supernatural characters will be introduced when the next game in the series launches.
