Epic Games has never shied away from introducing mechanics to Fortnite . The game is very different from when it first stepped onto the battle royale scene. One thing that drastically changed the game is the Augment feature. This added buffs to ensure you survive even longer than normal.
There is a solid list of Augments in Fortnite that can help you along your way to a Victory Royale . They offer things like combat assistance, health regeneration, and higher-tier loot drops. While some are simple, others will give you that extra boost to make you feel unstoppable during the final Storm circles.
10 Shadow Striker
Shadow Bombs are a clever movement tool in Fortnite. You use one to enter a Shadow form, which allows you to move quickly, leap high, and generally avoid being seen by enemy players. They aren't that easy to come by, however.
With the Shadow Striker Augment, you can make them more common. Use the Augment, and any container you open has a chance of giving you Shadow Bombs. This can help greatly when retreating or getting better positioning on an opponent.
9 Dumpster Diving
Fortnite is filled with tricky hiding spots. From mounds of hay to dumpsters, you can catch another player off guard by waiting in one of these spots. If you get your hands on the Dumpster Diving Augment, hiding will be worth more than just a moment's rest.
Whenever you leave a hiding place, such as a dumpster, Dumpster Diving will activate when in your possession. Once per hiding spot, loot of all kinds will spawn near your location upon your exit. You might just get the weapon that leads you to victory.
8 Chug Gunner
The Chug Cannon is an Exotic tier version of Fortnite's Bandage Bazooka. It launches Chug Splash at the ground in front of you or towards your allies. Don't shoot the rare item at an opponent, though, as it can heal them, too.
If you're in dire straits and you can select an Augment, cross your fingers that Chug Gunner is an option. With Chug Gunner, you don't have to hunt down a Chug Cannon. You simply activate the Augment and are given a Chug Cannon to heal. The weapon then passively regenerates ammunition when not in use.
7 Keymaster
Holo-Chests are quite the tease in Fortnite Outpost Website. You get to see a hologram of the weapon inside, along with its rarity, before choosing to open it. The catch is you have to find a key to unlock the Holo-Chest, or you'll simply be left longing for the powerful weapon on display.
Thankfully, Keymaster is an Augment that delivers two Holo-Chest keys to you. This means you can open two Epic or Legendary chests or a single Exotic chest. You won't have to scour the map for the key to a brilliant weapon.
6 Munitions Slide
Medium ammo is most commonly used by assault rifles, the automatic sniper rifle, and some pistols in Fortnite. Things can get disastrous toward the end of a match if you have a powerful AR but no ammo to sling at your opponents.
That's where the Munitions Slide comes in handy. You can be in or out of combat with this Augment active. When you slide , you'll replenish your Medium bullets. It's an amazing way to ensure you can keep firing in battle or load up when you're moving in for a third-party engagement.
5 Slap Surplus
Slap Juice is one of the best consumable items in Fortnite. It doesn't just provide regeneration to one aspect of your character. It gives two. Each use restores 15 health along with instant Energy regeneration for 50 seconds. If you've got more than one, you can consume a second to reset the 50-second timer.
The Rare tier item isn't incredibly hard to find, but you can make sure you'll get your hands on one with the Slap Surplus Augment. A Slap Juice will appear in every chest you open when the Augment is active. If there's already a Slap Juice in the chest, it will drop another for you to stockpile.
4 Supercharged
Vehicles have become an important part of Fortnite's mobility. You can hop in, listen to a variety of radio stations, and fill up on gas to make it all the way across the map if necessary. If driving to your destination is the play, the Supercharged Augment can make it easier.
With Supercharged active, any vehicle you enter will receive a massive buff. It will not consume any fuel, and the vehicle's overall health will increase. You can tank shots and survive in the vehicle much longer than you would without the Augment.
3 More Parkour
Fortnite allows you to glide, slide, jump, mantle, and more. Movement in the game is nothing like it was when it was first released. There are a ton of ways to enter and exit a battle, and More Parkour will keep you moving.
This Augment is an Energy regeneration Augment. Anytime you mantle onto a building or hurdle over a wall, your Energy will briefly regenerate. If you find yourself in a POI with lots of buildings or fences, you can parkour through it without ever completely losing your stamina.
2 Aerialist
The high ground is an important position to take in Fortnite. It can be risky, however, if you don't have an escape plan. Enemy players can chop down your structure and send you tumbling to your elimination. That makes Aerialist all the more important.
The Aerialist Augment is fairly basic but extremely effective. When active, you'll gain the ability to redeploy your glider . If you need to travel to the new circle fast, hightail it away from certain death, or land safely after your build is destroyed, get this Augment to make it so.
1 Light Fingers
Light Fingers is the number one Augment in Fortnite for those close-quarters, endgame skirmishes. It deals with Light bullets, which are used by submachine guns and most pistols. These are the weapons you'll use to deal quick damage in the later stages of a match.
When the Augment choice arrives, and you're confident you'll make it to the end, select Light Fingers. It will reload your SMGs and pistols faster, making sure you don't get caught swapping mags and knocked out in second place.
